Flames Foundation generously donates $25,000 towards our Therapy Grant Program

Due to lack of funding over the last year, we were forced to put our Therapy Grant Program on hold in late 2019, in the hopes that 2020 would bring new fundraising opportunities so we could resume treatments for Albertans suffering from PTSD. And then COVID-19 happened, and we were forced to cancel all of our major fundraising events for the year.

But, the amazing people at the Flames Foundation answered our calls for help. Today we are excited to share that the Flames Foundation has donated $25,000 to our Therapy Grant Program! This generous donation will not only allow us to get through our wait-list for these services, but we'll soon be able to open the program to new applicants.

"At the core of the Flames organization is, and always has been, to give back. We couldn't be happier to receive this amazing gift from the Flames Foundation and it will be greatly distributed to many people who seek help from traumatic issues." – Theo Fleury, Director of Breaking Free Foundation and Flames alumni

"This funding could not have come at a better time as our main fundraisers have been cancelled for 2020. The Flames Foundation donation will go a long way towards helping people who have been waiting on our Therapy Grant list. Thank you, Calgary Flames." — Colin Patterson, Director of Breaking Free Foundation and Flames alumni

As the world is navigating trauma together right now, the need for our services has never been greater and this money will go to immediate use to help people in our community suffering from the lingering effects of trauma and PTSD.
